MERSIN – The Mersin Bar Association said that lawyers tied to the association did not want to defend the three suspects in the raping and burning to death of 20-year-oldÖzgecan Aslan.

"We will be involved in the case to ensure that the perpetrators receive the maximum punishment," said the lawyers, stating that they would stand on the side of Özgecan Aslan's family. "Eventhough everyone has the right to a defense, we do not want to defend rapists and murderers."
