MÊRDÎN – This year, the international World March of Women's 4^th international action and march will start in Nusaybin, to honor the women's revolution in Rojava. The Nusaybin Municipal Women's Board is preparing to welcome the march.

The World March of Women takes place once every five years. This year, it will start on March 8, World Women's Day, at the border of Rojava and Northern Kurdistan at Nusaybin. Actions related to the march will continue in Diyarbakır.

Women began meeting in Nusaybin in the municipal meeting room, where Nusaybin co-mayor Sara Kaya read the declaration of the march and invited women to take part in committees to prepare. She noted the particular importance of Nusaybin women standing together against violence against women in the wake of the violent killing of Mersin university student ÖzgecanAslan.
