RIHA–Those maintaining the border vigil in the villages of Mehser and Misaynter have formed a human chain to salute Kobanê on the 166th day of their resistance, as they do every day.
The people joined hands after remembering those who have fallen in the struggle, and shouted slogans in support of the resistance: "bijîberxwedana YPG/YPJ" (long live the resistance of the YPG/YPJ) and "bijîSerok Apo" (long live President Apo), as well as "salute, salute, thousands salute Kobanê". Hundreds of activists held a one-minute silence in memory of all those who lost their lives in the struggle of freedom and democracy and sang the march "ÇerxaŞoreşê".
They also carried the posters of Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Öcalan and flags of Group of Communities in Kurdistan (KCK), YPG and YPJ.
In the wake of the human chain action, the citizens undertook environmental cleanup.
