ANKARA – The International Coordinator of the World March of Women, GraçaSamo of Mozambique, has been denied a visa to Turkey to take part in the march's fourth international action, taking place in Nisêbîn (Nusaybin). The March condemned the block on Graça's movement.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has given no reason for denying Graça's visa.

Graça has long been the director of Forum Mulher (Forum of Women), Mozambique's largest women's organization. In 2013, she was selected as the international coordinator of the World March of Women, whose international secretariat moved to Mozambique for the occasion.

The World March of Women unites 6000 women groups from 163 countries in the struggle against deprivation of and violence against women.This year's action is slated to start in Nusaybin, in honor of the Rojava women's revolution, with a series of border actions and forums.
