RIHA - While people maintain the border vigil in the villages of Elizer and Misaynter, they have formed a human chain to salute the resistance in Kobanê on the 167th day, as they do every day.

The people joined hands after remembering those who have fallen in the struggle, and shouted slogans in support of the resistance: "long live the resistance of YPG/YPJ" and "Long live President Apo" and "Salute, salute, thousands salute Kobanê". Hundreds of activists held one minute of silence in memory of all those who lost their lives in the struggle of freedom and democracy and sang the revolutionary march "ÇerxaŞoreşe."

They also carried the posters of Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) Leader Abdullah Öcalan and flags of the Group of Communities in Kurdistan (KCK), YPG and YPJ. After the human chain action, the citizens conducted an environmental cleanup.
