RIHA – The body of Mizgin Onar (code name AsmînSason), a commander in the YPJ who lost her life in a clash on February 26, has been brought north of the border to Suruç ahead of her burial in her home in Êlih (Batman).

Mizgin lost her life in the course of operations to liberate the villages around Kobanê, in a clash with Daesh gang members in the village of Idaniyê.

A group at the border town of Suruç received Mizgin's coffin with Kurdish slogans "martyrs never die" and "the martyrs' way is our way, the PKK is our party."
