CIZÎRE–YPJ women fighters described their victory in Til Hemîs, part of the canton of Cizîre, as a sign of the tide turning against Daesh thanks to women's spirit.

All Daesh gang members were removed from the Til Hemîs region on February 27. AvnaMenxorî, of the YPJ, said the operation was a serious blow to Daesh. The fighters also seized a large amount of ammunition in the operation.

"The Daesh terrorists' willpower has broken in Rojava," said Avna. "They came to Rojava in armored vehicles and they're fleeing on foot. This victory belongs to the Kurdish people."

Zozan Garzan said women's spirit and the sacrifices of women martyrs were key to the victory in TilHemîs. "I believe we'll take part in the next advances with the same enthusiasm," she said.

The YPJ fighter Zilan Devrem called on the youth forced to flee their homes in their war to return and take part in the revolution.

"The Kurdish people are living history right now. Let your name go down in history, too," said Zilan.
