RIHA- Citizens holding their border vigil in the villages of Miseynter and Elizer greeted the YPG/YPJ fighters in Kobanê on the 172nd day of the resistance.In the village of Mehser, preparations are continuing for a rally on 8 March, International Women’s Day.

Following the liberation of Kobanê city by YPG/YPJ forces, reconstruction is continuing and operations to cleanse the whole of the canton of ISIS gangs are ongoing. In villages along the Turkish-Syrian border in the district of Suruç, the vigil to watch the city and monitor ISIS activity continues.

This morning hundreds of people formed a human chain in the villages of Miseynter and Elizer to salute the YPG/YPJ fighters on the 172nd day of the resistance. They waved theflags of the groups PKK, KCK, YPG, YPJ and TEV-DEM. They also bore posters of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

After the human chain action, the citizens undertook an environmental cleanup.
