NEWS CENTER – YPG/YPJ forces have removed all Daesh forces from the town of Şêxler (Şiyox), on the banks of the Euphrates river near Kobanê. Many gang members died in the operation.With the liberation of Şêxler, the Euphrates river will be completely liberated from gang members from Kobanê until close to Cerablus, which is currently in Daesh hands.

Operations to liberate the towns and villages around Kobanê continue. According to a report by news agency ANHA, YPG/YPJ forces have most recently advanced to the town of Şêxler, 45 kilometers from Kobanê.

The clashes lasted until the early morning. YPG/YPJ command is expected to make a formal announcement today.
