Öcalan's March 8 message to be read at Kobanê border

RIHA – In the village of Mehser, across the border of Kobanê, thousands of women will arrive for a massive regional rally, at which it has been announced that PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan's March 8 message will be read.
Ceylan Bağṙıyanık, the Congress of Free Women (KJA) member of the İmralı Delegation and the first woman civil society leader in the delegation recently meeting with the leader, will read the message on Öcalan's behalf.
Also scheduled to appear at the rally are FevziyeEbdi of the Kobanê canton administration; Democratic Society Congress (DTK) co-chair Selma Irmak; and Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Kars MP Mülkiye Birtane.
The area for the rally in Mehser village is already hung with photographs of Arîn Mîrxan, Kader Ortakaya, Viyan Soran, Sakine Cansîz and other women heroes and martyrs, alongside photos of Abdullah Öcalan. Women have been dancing traditional dances throughout the day, with the exciting of the meeting two days away already enlivening the small village.
Signs in Kurdish and Turkish read: "No people is free unless its women are free." Other slogans include "Let's liberate our lives live the women resisting in Kobanê" and "Freedom from Kobanê to İmralı."
