World March of Women on the road to Diyarbakır

AMED – The World March of Women, which kicked off in Nusaybin on Friday, is now heading to Diyarbakır for a massive rally to celebrate International Women's Day—tomorrow, March 8.
This is the fourth international action of the World March of Women, which is beginning its transcontinental march for women's freedom in Kurdistan to call attention to the Rojava women's revolution.
Diyarbakır's Democratic Regions Party (DBP) provincial co-chairHafizeİpek says the march will show the solidarity of all women and bring the struggle against the masculine system to a new level. She said that Kurdish women's demand for freedom for Öcalan, which will be prominent in the rally tomorrow, is identical with their desire for their own liberation.
The march will start in 10 a.m. at Dağkapı Square and end with a massive rally at İstasyon Square, where women will celebrate the holiday with erbane music and dancing. KomaDengsar, AyşenurKolivar and Rojda will perform.
At 5:30 p.m., women will head to Cigerxwin Culture Center for a dinner, dance performance and painting exhibition
The next day, women will meet with activists working to protect the Tigris River Valley. On the 10th, the march will head for Antakya.
