RIHA – With the announcement today that Newroz celebrations will kick off in the border village of Etmanek to honor the Kobanê resistance, the daily border greeting from the villages of Northern Kurdistan to the YPG/YPJ resistance was charged with anticipation.

Preparations continue for the Newroz celebrations, set to start on March 17 in the villages where since attacks on Kobanê began, citizens have gathered to watch over and support the resistance against Daesh.

Solidarity volunteers in the villages of Miseynter and Elizer held hands to form a human chain along the border between Northern Kurdistan and Rojava to send their greetings to YPG/YPJ fighters continue to push Daesh gangs out of the countryside around Kobanê.
