TOKAT – An investigation has begun into a teacher who told students "you don't cover your heads; rape is permissible against you."

L.Y.İ is a religious culture and morality teacher at HalilRıfatPaşaSecondary School in Tokat. Two investigators have begun an investigation against her for the remark, directed at female students at the middle school.

L.Y.İ has been transferred to another school at her own request. The education directorate in Tokat has said that they did not want the teacher to enter another class or to experience the reactions of school employees. The prosecutor in Tokat will be collecting statements from the students and employees at the school.
