ANKARA –A delegation of opposition party and civil society members have set out for İmralı Island, where PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan is imprisoned by the Turkish state. The delegation has announced that they will receive Abdullah Öcalan'sNewroz message, to be broadcast the massive Diyarbakır Newroz celebrations.

Members of the delegation setting out today are Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Deputy Parliamentary Group ChairsPervinBuldan and İdrisBaluken; İstanbul MP SırrıSüreyyaÖnder;DTK (Democratic Society Congress) Co-chair HatipDicle and KJA (Congress of Free Women) activist CeylanBağrıyanık.

The delegation's most recent meeting with Öcalan was on March 14.
