Solidarity demonstration for lynched Afghan woman

ANKARA – Protestors demonstrated outside the Afghan Embassy in Ankara in solidarity with Farkhunda, the Afghan woman brutally killed on the allegation that she had burned the Qur'an.
"We're the granddaughters of the witches you couldn't burn," said signs at the Ankara demonstration, which called in both Turkish and Dari for Farkhunda's killers to be tried. Demonstrators from the Modern Lawyers Association, Free Lawyers Association and Human Rights Association joined the protest.
