KOBANÊ –YPG/J forces reported heavy clashes in several locations in Kobanê and Cizîrê canton yesterday.

YPG/YPJ forces have liberated strategic hills in southeast Kobanê on the 205th day of the Kobanê resistance against occupying Daesh gang members, in the area between the villages of Xweydankê and Derfilît. Daesh gangs have launched attacks on the villages of Girêk and Norellî, as well as the control point on the Dicle Road. Gangs are resorting to the use of heavy artillery and mortars in the region, said the statement.

In Cizîrê Canton, fighting continues in the Til Temir area, home to many Assyrian and Syriac people. The YPG Press Center reported that ISIS gangs have launched a fresh wave of attacks on and around the village of Xerîta, between Til Temir and Hesekê, early yesterday morning. Intense clashes were ongoing as of yesterday.

YPG/YPJ forces launched an operation against a convoy of gang members Tuesday night, near the village of Menacir in the besieged area of Til Temir, successfully destroying a Daesh military vehicle and killing at least one Daesh gang member. Another Daesh member was killed in Abû Tînê village.

In Xêbiş village, clashes lasted overnight from Tuesday until Wednesday morning. International forces bombed several Daesh locations near the village.
