NEWS CENTER–A cyber attack today has targeted Kurdish television stationsStêrk TV, Med Nûçe, Ronahî TV and Mesopotamia Radio, taking down live broadcasts at the stations.

An unknown attacker burned the cables in the production center of the four stations in the Belgian town of Denderleeuw, using high electric voltage applied directly to cables in the building. The attack suspended the channels' live broadcasts.

Fire brigades and a technical team cut off power in the area, but confirm that high voltage in the power lines continues. Work to solve the safety problem and bring the channels back online continues.
