Police wound two children in Siirt

SÊRT – Police wounded two 10-year-old children when they fired pressurized water and pepper spray into a schoolyard in the Northern Kurdish city of Siirt.
After the funeral of NurettinKılgı (nom de guerre HasanŞirvan), slain fighting for the YPG in the Kobanê resistance, police launched an attack on children leaving the cemetery. Police deployed their riot vehicle between the cemetery and the Hürriyet Primary and Middle School, then fired pressurized water at children. The police claimed that the children had thrown stones.
Two 10-year-old 5th grade students who had been in the schoolyard were wounded in the attack. The children were evacuated in an ambulance.
