YPG/YPJ fighters' bodies arrive in Diyarbakır

AMED – Yesterday, the bodies of several YPG and YPJ fighters were brought to the main Kurdish city of Diyarbakır. They will now be sent to their native provinces.

Funerals of YPG fighters Mazlum Aşkan (nom de guerre Canşer Cembiri), İsmail Oktay (nom de guerre Rênas Şoreşger) and YPJ fighter Bahar Tuğluk (nom de guerre Bêritan Batman), who lost their lives in Kobanê resistance, were brought from Kobanê to Urfa on Tuesday, where autopsies were performed.

Families and members of MEYA-DER, an organization for solidarity with those lost in war in Mesopotamia, met the funeral convoy at the entrance of city. The mass greeted the YPG/YPJ fighters with slogans of "martyrs never die", "long live the YPG/YPJ resistance" and "long live the leader Apo." They accompanied the coffins to Yeniköy Cemetery.

YPJ fighter Bajar will be buried in Batman, nearby. The bodies of YPG fighters Akşan and Oktay will be sent to Van to be laid to rest tomorrow.
