TIL TEMIR - In the Rojava city of Til Temir, under attack by Daesh, the local Health Center has called on civil society organizations to help with the shortage of medicine and doctors in the besieged city.

The Health Center, says City Health Commission member Şîrîn Îsmaîl, has been working nonstop since the beginning of the Daesh attacks, but it is operating with just eleven doctors, five of them women. Women health workers have been undertaking training to increase the capacity of the center, but the lack of a working hospital is posing serious problems in the city.

Most patients have to be sent to hospitals in other Rojava cities for treatment. Şîrîn called for NGOs to support the health centers in Rojava, especially in areas under Daesh attacks.
