NEWS CENTER – The group of Kurdistan Women’s Communities (KJK) has released a message wishing condolences to the people of Nepal. “We want to express that our thoughts and feelings of solidarity are with the Nepalese people,” said the Kurdish women’s liberation group.
The armed women’s liberation movement KJK noted their great sadness at the news of the earthquake in Nepal. They wrote that as women in the mountains of Kurdistan, they shared the Nepalese people’s pain.
“In your country, the search for alternative ways of life and the people’s resistance to the system of capitalist modernity has been strong. The experience of a disaster like this is especially saddening just after the end of the guerrilla struggle as the process of constructing a new way of life was ongoing,” said the KJK. The Nepalese guerrilla struggle ended in 2006.
“We believe that with the support of fellow people and resistance movements, the Nepalese people, with their important tradition of resistance, can overcome this tragedy,” said the KJK. “As the Kurdish women’s movement, we are with you. From the mountains of Kurdistan to Mount Everest, we send you our revolutionary greetings of solidarity.”
