NEWS CENTER – Guatemalan Nobel Peace Prize winner Rigoberta Menchú has been hospitalized in Mexico City.

Rigoberta was hospitalized in Mexico City yesterday for a severe drop in blood pressure. She had recently registered as an observer in Mexico's June 7th elections, according to TeleSUR, and was planning to travel to the province of Guerrero. There, the families of the 43 Ayotzinapa students and their families have called an election boycott. They are demanding that the Mexican federal state ends the situation of violence and collusion with drug gangs that is terrorizing the people of Guerrero.
