ANKARA – An attacker threw a Molotov cocktail at a Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) women's elections bureau in Ankara.

In Ankara's Mamak district, two HDP activists from the women's elections bureau were walking down the street when a passerby warned them that there had been a masked individual at the end of the street. Shortly thereafter, an attacker attempted to throw a Molotov cocktail into the building. However, the shouts of the activists inside caused the attacker to panic and the Molotov hit the sidewalk.

The attacker ran, but was later arrested. There have been more than 60 attacks on HDP elections offices in recent months in the course of the 2015 election campaign.
