Diyarbakır residents flock to hospitals to give blood

AMED - Following the massacre attempt in Diyarbakır, people have flocked to hospitals in the tens of thousands.
At least 350 were injured after a double bombing struck the crowd at a HDP rally this afternoon; at least 30 are in serious condition.Tens of thousands of people across the city mobilized to donate blood to the wounded at hospitals across the city.
The healthcare workers' union SES issued a call for crowds to disperse from the hospitals. SES Diyarbakır co-chair Selma Atabey announced that there was sufficient blood donated and the presence of crowds would only disrupt the operations of the hospital and block ambulance mobility.
In the meantime, the body of RamazanYıldız, who lost his life at Dicle University Medical Faculty, is being transported to the Diyarbakır Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital for a postmortem.
