ISTANBUL – The HDP's victory belongs to all the peoples of Turkey, said Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) candidates speaking on the victory at a party office in Istanbul.

The HDP's vote percentage shot up 14.5% in Istanbul. PervinBuldan, a candidate in the city's third region, will enter Parliament for Istanbul as the first-list candidate in the region. Speaking at the Istanbul third region headquarters, she said that the victory belonged to the peoples of Turkey.

Other women candidates also spoke on the victory. Environmental engineering professor BeyzaÜstün said that, "We have promised to expand peace and freedom. We are keeping our word."

SebahatTuncel, speaker of the Peoples' Democratic Congress (HDK), sent her greetings to jailed PKK leader, Abdullah Öcalan, from the Istanbul celebration.
