KOBANÊ – YPG/YPJ forces have announced that they have cleared Daesh gang members from the city center of Kobanê.

YPG/YPJ forces in the city of Kobanê, located in the Rojava region of Syria, have spent the last two days engaged in ongoing clashes with members of the Daesh gang. Daesh members infiltrated the city early on Thursday, killing 152 in several simultaneous attacks on civilians.

Following the massacre, gang members holed up in the Mekteba Reş school, the city's culture center and the Miştenur Hospital. Today, YPG/YPJ forces have announced that they have killed the gang members in all three locations. YPG flags are currently waving from the three sites.

While the city center is now clear of gang members, another group of gangs remains holed up in a house the village of Kulilk, six kilometers from the city center. YPG/YPJ forces in Kulilk, who have the house surrounded, say it is a matter of minutes before the 5 or 6 gang members are defeated.
