AMED - Berjin Demirkaya, a woman's movement activist, was arrested yesterday in the largely Kurdish city of Diyarbakır, Turkey.
Berjin was on her way to a prison visit with her niece, Merge Polat, at the Diyarbakır E-Type Prison.
