Clashes on Mt. Judi

ŞIRNEX - Clashes have broken out on Mt. Judi in Turkey's eastern province of Şırnak.

HPG guerrillas have burned 14 vehicles used at a coal pit on Turkey's Mt. Judi. The vehicles were used to mine coal at a thermal power plant belonging to the company Silopi Elektrik A.Ş. Guerrillas captured 30 workers and released them thereafter. Turkish soldiers have now started an operation in the region. Local sources report clashes in the area.

Meanwhile, Turkish soldiers have reportedly shelled guerrillas' Martyr Kendal Zone from a border base in the Roboski area of the province. Warplanes and helicopters have been deployed in the region.
