ISTANBUL - Women political prisoners in Istanbul's Bakırköy Closed Women's Prison held a three-day noise action to condemn the Suruç massacre.
The prisoners, who imprisoned for alleged membership in armed left groups (MLKP, MKP/KMB, PKK/PAJK, TİKB, TKEP/L and TKP/ML) banged on doors and chanted slogans for the last three days in protest against the Suruç massacre.
On July 20, a bombing targeted a group of activists with the Federation of Socialist Youth Associations (SGDF). The group planned to cross into Kobanê to bring donations and toys to the children of Kobanê and to aid in the reconstruction of the devastated city.
"Even between these four walls, we, too, speak: we know the killers and their collaborators," said the women in a statement. "We will call them to account for the massacre. Our answer will be to increase the solidarity that was woven by those who we bade farewell. Our answer will be to realize the dreams of revolution. We believe that the day will come when no child goes without a toy."
The women wished their condolences to the families of the dead and a speedy recovery to the wounded. "We promise that wherever we may be, we will increase the rage and resistance of our peoples," they said.
