Turkish police arrest woman journalist

EDİRNE – Turkish police have arrested Nevin Yıldız, a female journalist, at the Turkish-Bulgarian border.
Nevin Yıldız is a journalist and general broadcasting manager of TV10, a channel that serves Turkey’s Alevi religious minority. Nevin was returning from Bulgaria, where she had traveled to cover the plight of refugees forced to leave their countries by war, when she was arrested at the Turkish border.
Police have not specified the reason for Nevin’s arrest. She is currently being held at the police station near the border in the province of Edirne.
