AMED - Lots of women around the world are exposed the polices  or solidars’ torture. Resaarches  have showen  that especially these women can not forget the sexual threats and abuse. The TİHV  board manager member  Necdet İpekyüz states that  the women are exposed torture and all  kind of bad treatment while they are in the prison, and their education level also gives sahapes to these tortures. When the individual  is not affected by the brutal violence, they apply to tortures, sexual threats,and  psychological  violence.

Although these things happen there is still no any establishment of state..

Nejdet İpekyüz says that there is a great increase in applying to Dıyarbakır Turkey Human Rights Foundation (THRF  in turkish TİHV)  for the violence against women in three recent years.  A great amount of  women   are taken into custody  for  Kurdısh  Problem and  politic issues.Necdet also underline that  women no longer are affected by brutal violence apart from psychological torture.

‘The more education level changes the more different forms of violence they have’

‘Amoung the applying there are prisoners women from Iran, Syria and these women have come across every kind of sexual and brutal violence.’ Says Nejdet.it is very difficult for us, too, to share the things they have lived .

While in the prison the women are exposed very bad torture such as to be undressed, beating, electric torture, to be suspended etc... According to the women, the form of torture changes according to the level of their education .More educated women face to with psychological violence while the less educated women face with brutal violence such as beating, electric torture.

‘Lots of violences are towards sexual identity’

Nejdet says that the women who have come across sexual violence in prison, after being free have lots of psychological proplems.They start to hate all of the man and also their father, brother.They hate the ethnic of the person who has exposed them to the sexual violence.

‘There is no apology from state’

Nejdet says that it is very difficult to voice the sexual torture women had. Unfortunately because of feudal structure, the family of these women do not accept the sexual torture women had while in the prison. Because of this, some women who apply to us do not want to tell us the stuation. So sometimes we are late for helping them.

When look at history, we can easily see that the persons, who perform such tortures,have never given any punishment.So this stuation makes the problem more serious.On the other hand,state never apologizes for these injustices.By saying ‘It was the same in the past and it will be the same in the future’ it secretly supports the torturers.

‘The person who make sexual torture should be punished!’

Apart from thinking about victım we also should consider the person who perform sexual torture’ says Nejdet.The persons who have performed such tortures and violences are in good position now and countinue their jobs.This is a big problem.This problem is turkey’s problem and by punishing them, Turkey should do something.
