Three killed in Nusaybin and Cizre

ŞIRNEX/MÊRDÎN – In Nusaybin, an armored vehicle opened fire, killing two individuals, Kerem Akyürek and Hüseyin Akyüz. Meanwhile, citizen İbrahim Nar died in hospital after being wounded in Cizre.

Turkish state forces continue to maintain a blockade on the town of Nusaybin, in Mardin province. Yesterday, an armored vehicle posted in the Veysike Cemetery opened fire on local citizens in the Fırat neighborhood. While 19-year-old Kerem Akyürek died in the attack, a young man named Hüseyin Akyüz was taken to the Nusaybin State Hospital for wounds in his arm and back. After three hours in surgery, Hüseyin Akyüz also passed away. A crowd including the town’s co-mayors joined Hüseyin’s family in carrying Hüseyin’s body to the hearse.

Meanwhile, in the town of Cizre, a citizen named İbrahim Nar was wounded in the attacks. Despite being rushed to the hospital in the neighboring city of Batman, İbrahim also passed away.
