WAN – The police organised raids to KYK(student dormitory) and many students houses in Van and 3 days ago they detained 17 students including our reporter Rojda Oğuz. 12 students were released while 5 student include Rojda were sent to Court to be arrested.

The police organised raids to KYK(student dormitory) and many students houses on January 5 in Van. Our reporter Rojda Oğuz-student in Van Yüzüncü Yıl University- and 16 students were detained. Aylin Çelik and Emin Bilgin were released last night after taking their testimony. 15 students-with Rojda- were sent to the prosecution. Şilan Söylemez, Sezgin Akgül, Doğukan Özkaya, Kahraman Erdem, Musa Sagun, Mehmet Ayaz, Kerem Akdoğan and an student-name unknown- were released after taking their testimonies. Uğur Beder and Şahin Çakasin were released under supervised release. Selman Beder, Ferhat Ürgen, Servet Soyürün, Mehmet Çelenk and our reporter Rojda Oğuz were sent to the Court to be arrested.
