BARTIN - Asst. Assoc. Dr. Hülya Doğan signed the statement of the Academics Initiative for Peace against the massacres and blockade in Kurdistan. Bartin University, Head of the Department of Anthropology, Hülya Doğan has been dismissed by rector.

A member of Eğitim-Sen, Hülya signed the statement like 1,127 academics on January 11,2016 by demanding that the state immediately stop the massacre and forced displacement of the peoples of the Kurdistan region; punish perpetrators of human rights violations; compensate aggrieved citizens; and allow independent national and international observers into the region. Asst. Assoc. Dr. Hülya Doğan,Bartin University, Chairman of the Department of Anthropology, has been dismissed by rector.

Meanwhile, a permission was asked from the Ministry of Justice to open an investigation against Hülya into allegations that under article 301 of "Publicly Insulting the Turkishness, the Republic or Turkish Grand National Assembly"
