ŞIRNEX – As the siege on the town of Cizre continues, Veli Müjde (38) has lost his life. Veli was among those wounded when a mortar struck a group of civilians earlier today.

In the town of Cizre, a mortar attack targeted a location where local residents were gathered in the Şah neighborhood. According to initial reports, six were wounded, three of them seriously, in the mortar attack. The wounded were transported to the Cizre State Hospital by ambulance.

Veli Müjde (38), who was struck in the neck by a piece of shrapnel, has lost his life in hospital. Two other severely wounded individuals, İbrahim Özdemir and Süheyl Sabır, remain under treatment.

After the attack, Cizre residents gathered in the street to condemn the attacks.
