QAMIŞLO – Yesterday evening, an explosion struck the Wusta neighborhood of the city of Qamişlo, Rojava. First reports indicated that three people have passed away.

In the city of Qamişlo, located in Rojava’s Cizîr Canton, an explosion occurred near the Miami Restaurant, which has previously been the target of a bombing. An explosion in the Necmê Cafeteria on Miami street around 6:50 p.m. caused a nearby motorcycle, also laden with explosives, to detonate. Three people (names unknown) were killed in the explosion and seven wounded.

The wounded were taken to the city’s Selam Hospital, where Senhabîr Bersûm (chair of the canton’s Human Rights Commision) visited them to wish them well. The Kurdish Red Crescent has taken responsibility for the care of the wounded, while the Asayiş security force began an investigation into the explosion.
