AMED – A young man named Hakan Aslan, wounded as Turkish state forces attacked the Sur district of Diyarbakır, has passed away.

For 56 days, Turkish state forces have maintained a total siege and blockade of the Sur district of the city of Diyarbakır. Hakan Aslan was wounded on January 22 when a bullet struck him in the back.

According to local sources, Hakan has passed away of blood loss.
