Turkish soldiers slay woman at Rojava ‘border’

AMÛDE – As Sara Xemîs tried to cross from Rojava to the town of Nusaybin, Turkey, Turkish soldiers shot and killed her.
30-year-old Sara Xemîs was attempting to cross into the city of Nusaybin from the village of El Eradê, 20 kilometers west of the Rojava city of Dirbêsiyê. Soldiers raked the woman with gunfire, critically wounding her.
Villagers rushed Sara to the Dirbêsiyê Hospital, but she passed away. Sara was buried today in the town of Zergan.
