ŞIRNEX – As Turkish state forces continue blockades on cities across Kurdistan, state forces have attacked three neighborhoods in the town of Şırnak with heavy weapons.

Yesterday evening, Turkish state forces closed down all routes in and out of the Bahçelievler neighborhood in Şırnak, the capital of Şırnak province in Kurdistan. Armored vehicles were deployed at all roads into the neighborhood, while police special operations teams were deployed in state-owned buildings. As police began to attack, forces from the YPS (Civil Defense Force) responded and clashes broke out.

Meanwhile, police launched simultaneous heavy weapons attacks on the Dicle and Yenimahalle neighborhoods.
