MÊRDÎN – Turkish state forces have shot and killed a 12-year-old child named Muğdat Ay in the besieged town of Nusaybin. Another child was wounded in the gunfire.

In the Nusaybin district of Mardin province, genocidal attacks have continued nonstop for months. It has become routine practice for Turkish state forces to rake neighborhoods with gunfire.

Armored vehicles deployed near the town’s regional bus station opened fire on the Dicle neighborhood yesterday. The gunfire struck and killed 12-year-old Muğdat Ay, who was playing marbles in the street at the time. 16-year-old child Azad Denker, who was also wounded in the attack, was hospitalized.
