Female prisoners begin a noise action

KOCAELi - Female prisoners in Gebze M Type Prison for Woman condemned the massacre which has been carried out in Kurdistan. Meanwhile, they announced that they began a noise action in the prison to be in solidarity with the people's resistance.

63 female prisoners in Gebze M Type Prison for Woman protested the massacre which has been carried out in Kurdistan by making noise in the prison. According to DİHA news, the prison administrations start a prosecution against the women who made the noise in the prison. Women sent a letter to explain their action. The letter reads, "We support our people's right of resistance. We make the noise by hitting the door loopholes and we chant the slogans to indicate we stand by our people."

The female prisoners wrote that they made the noise by hitting the door loopholes by chanting the slogans to condemn the Cizre massacre. Before the noise action, they had staged a three-day hunger strike. " The prison administrations opens an investigation for every single slogan we chant and noise we make against our conscience and democratic action. "We will continue our democratic action. We decided to not be in the sick list. We will continue our actions as long as these pressures on our people continue."

Meanwhile, the female prisoners announced that they sent 4000 tl to Kobanê to support the construction.
