Borbardment and clashes continue in Şırnak &Nusaybin

MÊRDÎN/ŞIRNEX - As state forces have attacked Nusaybin and Şırnak against the people's demand of self-government, the homes of people have been made unusable by state forces.Violent clashes have launched between state forces and the Civil Defense Unit (YPS) and Women's Civil Defense Unit (YPS-JIN).

Martial law under the name of "curfew" has entered in the 12nd day in the Nusaybin district of Mardin. Violent clashes have continued in the town. Five YPS fighters have lost their life in the ongoing clashes until now. The bodies of YPS's fighters are still in the neighborhoods. The demands of retrieve the bodies have been refused. The HDP MPĞ İbrahim Ayhan has been in thw town since the "curfew" was declared. İbrahim said that he met Nusaybin District Governor and Mardin Governor to retrieve the bodies, however, the meetings passed negative.

Abdullah Ak is one of the YPS's fighters who died in the ongoing clashes. His family lives in Yeşilkent neighborhood where is close to clashes area. The family's all attempts to retrieve their chil's body have failed so far. Abdullah's mother Ayten Ak said that she saw her son one day before the curfew was declared. She said, "He came to home to see me. State forces followed him closely. They told us "Where is your son? He will die soon". So I tried to persuade him to stay with me. However, he didn't accept that. He told me "My life isn't more worth than my comrades's life. We risked death when we began to walk on this path. We can wear white shrouds or we will have Kurdistan. Don't be sad, the freedom is close." And he went out."

Meanwhile, the attacks of special forces have intensified in two neighborhoods. State force cannot enter the neighborhoods, so they have demolished the homes by opening fire on them.
Genocidal attacks have entered in the 11st day in the center of Şırnak. State forces attacked the Dicle, İsmetpaşa and Cumhuriyet neighborhoods of Şırnak with mortar fire and artillery nightlong.State forces tried to enter the neighborhoods while they bombarded the neighborhoods. Violent clashes have continued between state forces and members of the Civil Defense Unit (YPS) and Women's Civil Defense Unit (YPS-JIN) for 24 hours. Many ambulances were sent to Cumhuriyet and İsmetpaşa neighborhoods. No information has been obtained about number of casualties in the neighborhoods.

Meanwhile, the clashes were intensified in the five neighborhoods where there aren't barricades and trenches yesterday. Seven special forces died in the clashes.

The bombardment and clashes have continued in the city nonstop.
