Hundreds of people from Nusaybin's villages gathered in the Açıkköy village of Nusaybin to break the siege, which has continued in the Nusaybin for 17 days, under the leadership of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and Democratic Regions Party (DBP). The exit of the Açıkköy village has been blockaded by soldiers. The people, among them the HDP MP Ali Atalan and the administrators of the HDP and DBP, have continued to wait in the village. The people from the HDP and DBP have begun to talk to soldiers to open the road.

Meanwhile, the people have continued to gather in the village. A group, among them the HDP MP Gülser Yıldırım departed from the Ömerli district of Mardin to Açıkköy.
