MÊRDÎN – Co-mayor of Dargeçit Municipality Zeynep Sipçik was detained on charges of "being a member of a terrorist organization". Co-mayor of Kızıltepe Municipality Leyla Salman and member of Dargeçit Municipal Assembly Yüksel Oğuz were also detained with Zeynep.

As Co-mayor of Dargeçit Municipality Zeynep Sipçik, co-mayor of Kızıltepe Municipality Leyla Salman and member of Dargeçit Municipal Assembly Yüksel Oğuz departed from the Midyat district of Mardin to Dargeçit. Their car was stopped by state forces and they were detained. As Leyla Salman and Yüksel Oğuz are waited in police station, Zeynep Sipçik was sent to court. Then, she was sent to court on duty for arrest on charges of "being a member of a terrorist organization". After her testimony, Zeynep was sent to Mardin E Type Closed Prison.
