Sur children to given their families

AMED – Children, who had been evacuated from the Sur district of Diyarbakır, were sent to the Child Protection Agency by the decision of the Prosecutor. After filed a complaint to the Children's court on duty, the court decided to give the children to foster-parents.
For 121 days, the siege and onslaught have continued in the Sur district of Diyarbakır. 19 children were evacuated from Sur in different times. Eight of them named K. Ş. (11), T. A. (7), G.A. (10), R.A. (7); M.A. (6), Ö.A. (4), Ş.T. (9) and R.Ö (4) were sent to the Child Protection Agency by the decision of the Prosecutor without the approval of the judge.
Thereupon, lawyers filed a complaint to the Children's court on duty, the court decided to give the children to foster-parents who are the relatives of the children. Ş.T. (9) was given to grandfather because her parents are in prison.
According to reports, the other children will be given to their relatives as soon as possible.
