COLEMERG - As the popular resistance for self-governmet has continued in the Gever (Turkish name: Yüksekova) district of Hakkari, Turkish state forces' bombardment has intensified in the Cumhuriyet and Güngör neighborhoods of the town.

As the popular resistance for self-government has continued in the Yüksekova district of Hakkari for 26 days, state forces have attacked the neighborhoods by firing mortar, howitzer and artillery. State forces shelled the Cumhuriyet and Görgür neighborhoods in the morning again. Short-term clashes erupted in Saitboru region.

The resistance of the Civil Defense Unit (YPS) and Women's Civil Defense Unit (YPS-JIN) has endured against the ongoing bombardment in the besieged neighborhoods.
