Unemployment rate of women in Turkey above 16%

ANKARA - The Office of Research of the Confederation of Revolutionary Workers' Unions of Turkey (DİSK) released a report called "The situation of the labour in Turkey". According to the report, unemployment rate of women are high and this rate is changed between 16% and 18% in Turkey.
As Mai 1, International Workers' Day is closing; The Office of Research of the Confederation of Revolutionary Workers' Unions of Turkey (DİSK) released a report called "The situation of the labour in Turkey". DİSK used the data of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), International Labour Organization (ILO), Social Security Institution (SGK), Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) and Assembly of the Worker's Health and Safety to prepare the report.
According to report, employment rate is 71,9% in Sweden, 60,4 in Germany, 56,5 in France, 64,4 in Netherland and the rate on average is 62,1% in the countries members of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) while this rate is 50,5% in Turkey.
The report also reads that unemployment rate of women in Turkey is quite high. The unemployment rate of women is between 16% or 18% in Turkey.
Meanwhile, 36% of six million 578,000 employees work more than 50 hours a week in Turkey and 65% of 11 million 619,000 employees those who work for a salary and casual employees work 41 hours or more a week.
According to the report released by the Assembly of the Worker's Health and Safety, at least 730 workers died in 2015. The report reads, "The rate shows us that the process in worker's health and safety hasn't been made in Turkey."
