İSTANBUL –Women reached to aggravated isolation imposed on the PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan by saying, “The freedom of Mr.Abdullah Öcalan is the freedom of the society. Only Öcalan can provide the peace. We’ll fight for freedom of Öcalan not for lift the isolation. The isolation of Abdullah Öcalan is an attack on women.”

As the aggravated isolation imposed on the PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan has continued, the struggle for end the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan has carried out in all areas. The war policies in Turkey gain speed with ongoing isolation shows the persistence of the deadlock in government policy. Women talked about the situation and they emphasized that the isolation must be lifted immediately and Abdullah Öcalan must regain his freedom.”

‘The freedom of leadership is the freedom of oppressed’

Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Kars former MP Şafak Özanlı said that the aggravated isolation imposed on Abdullah Öcalan is distanced from the war. Şafak stated that previously, genocidal operations had been begun and the people had been massacred after the isolation had been imposed on Abdullah Öcalan. “Kurdish people say that Abdullah Öcalan is our will. They want to handcuff on the people’s will with isolation. The freedom of Mr.Abdullah Öcalan is the freedom of all society. Only Öcalan can provide the peace. We’ll fight for freedom of Öcalan not for lift the isolation. The isolation of Abdullah Öcalan is an attack on women.” said Şafak.

One of the PeaceMothers Rabia Aslan, meanwhile, stated that she condemns the aggravated isolation. She said, “Restart the negotiation process. End the war and slaughter. Lift the isolation on leadership. He must be released. All mothers’ call is to restart the dialogue with leadership. We want peace.”
