ANKARA -The constitutional committee of the parliament has voted for lifting the immunity of deputies of the Peoples’ Demosratic Party (HDP), and transferred the motion to the plenary session. The HDP MP Meral Danış Beştaş evaluated the elimination of the HDP. She said, “The AKP wants to make its own laws and it sees the HDP as the opposing force that. They don't want to the HDP cross their path. However, our all proposals about Turkey eliminate their coup plans and their dreams about future.

The coalition of the three parties, the Justice and Development Party (AKP), Republican’s People Party (CHP) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) have voted for lifting the immunity of deputies of the Peoples’ Demosratic Party (HDP) in the constitutional committee. The plenary session will handle the issue on the 16th of May. The HDP Adana MP Meral Danış Beştaş stated that the constitution proposal which will cause to eliminate the HDP is lawlessness.

“When the issue is to Kurds want a free and equal life and people of other beliefs want to express themselves freely, this monist mentality, the logic of destruction and assimilation stepped in and they achieved their goal. We saw how three parties gathered and we understand that the opposition against each other is totally unrealistic. There will be two voting on May 16 and 18. If the vote rate is between 330 and 367 votes, the President can lead to a referendum whenever he wants. There isn’t a time for this.
