HABER MERKEZİ – As intense clashes and bombardment have continued in Şırnak and Nusaybin for more than 50 days, the bombardment that began after curfew declared in the villages of Dersim’s Mazgirt district, is ongoing in the villages.

ŞIRNAK

Resistance of self-government against genocidal attacks under the name “curfew” declared in Şırnak on March 14 has left behind the 53rd day. Violent clashes in Bahçelievler, İsmetpaşa, Cumhuriyet, Yeni and Gazipaşa neighborhoods throughout the night gave its place to bombardment in the morning.

According to report, an armored digger was destroyed during the clashes intensified in the Bahçelievler neighborhood. State forces failed to enter the neighborhood and started bombing the neighborhood again in the morning. Tanks and artillery weapons stationed in Sîn û Ber region on Siirt road and Çakırsöğüt Gendarmerie Brigade are bombing the neighborhood.

State forces tried entering the İsmetpaşa neighborhood through the upper part where the village guard family Tatars live and Kanika Jêr area on the lower part of the neighborhood. Clashes between state forces and Civil Defense Units YPS/YPS-JIN members continued until late at night. State forces failed to enter the neighborhood and started bombing intensely in the morning.

Meanwhile, state forces are reportedly digging positions around the industrial region on the Siirt road and Şırnak University campus on the Cizre Road.

NUSAYBİN

The “curfew” has reached the 54th day in Mardin’s Nusaybin district. Resistance against the genocidal attacks of state forces have continued in the district that was bombed throughout the night. The attacks focused on Abdulkadirpaşa and Fırat neighborhoods and several houses in Kanarya Sokak were targeted and set on fire by attacks from armored vehicles stationed around the old hospital. Dozens of houses have been demolished and the fires in Kanarya Sokak continued into the morning.

Clashes continue with YPS and YPS-JIN members' retaliation.

DERSİM

The “curfew” was declared in 15 villages of Dersim’s Mazgirt district yesterday. After curfew was declared in the Dewreşan and Xişnar villages located in Xiran region, the bombardment began on the villages. The bombardment is still continuing. According to local sources, helicopters have bombed the area around the Keçeran and Dewreşan villages.

According to reports, state forces conduct house raids in some villages of the region.
